Bret Hunter Family Law & Mediation
opened in Beverly Hills a decade ago in 2011.
After graduating from the University of Michigan in three years, and subsequently from the SMU Law School in Dallas as the youngest in his class,
Bret acquired big-firm experience at two of the pre-eminent family law/divorce firms in the country -
Warner, Mayoue & Bates in Atlanta,
and Trope & Trope in Los Angeles.
As a result, Bret brings big firm experience to a boutique practice framework - the result is both cost-beneficial and stress-reducing to clients who will only deal with one seasoned attorney at all times.
Bret has passed the bar in three states and is licensed to practice in Texas, Georgia and California.
He has been lead counsel in hundreds of motions and trials, an expert witness for California family law issues in other state jurisdictions, and passed the State Bar of California's Family Law specialist's exam in 2009.
Bret has been named as one of the top family law attorneys in Los Angeles for 13 consecutive years by Super Lawyers of Southern California.
Bret is a published author and contributor, and has developed an additional role as a divorce coach to help clients gain confidence in what can be an emotional rollercoaster before and during divorce, and even during divorce recovery.
A concierge coaching approach which takes into account the emotional, physical and financial/legal well-being of clients with the aid of a network of professionals in the physical fitness, mental health and financial health industries ensures that coaching clients will be at their emotional and physical best when facing their own divorce journey -- a process which can turn a devastating end into a happy beginning of the next chapter.
